Georgian Bay, it’s time to dust off those dancing shoes and get ready for a night of glitter, glamour, and heartwarming hilarity! “The Prom,” presented by the Georgian Bay Musical Theatre Company, is coming to the Huronia Players Theatre at the Midland Cultural Centre this July. Inspired by true events, “The Prom” tells the tale of a courageous student who stood up for love and equality when she was denied the chance to attend her prom with her girlfriend. Through captivating characters, catchy tunes, and a powerful message that “love is love,” this musical comedy promises to leave you laughing, crying, and feeling all the feels. Directed and choreographed by the talented Stephanie Gendron, the show blends humour with heartache in a way that will touch audiences of all ages.
